but having bad allergies when you are pregnant stinks
because it makes you sneeze (and cough)
a lot
If you've ever been pregnant you probably know why sneezing and coughing are DISASTROUS and can probably sympathize with my plight. If you haven't been pregnant before let me just remind you that pregnancy involves another human being (baby bird is probably around 3-5 lbs by now) sitting directly above your bladder. And my bladder doesn't seem to mind compressing itself flat and emptying its contents at the slightest hint of extra pressure. Yep, sad but true.
So while I am can manage the sinus headache, the sore throat, and the runny faucet of a nose I just hope that the sneezing and the coughing stop soon because it gets a tad bit discouraging. Ugg. Thanks for letting me whine (again).

lol. I shouldn't laugh because I know EXACTLY what you are going through, but I guess that's why I can laugh. I had a terrible cough that started the week before I gave birth and didn't go away until the week after, give or take a few days. I started wearing a pad to bed so I wouldn't have to change my bottoms several times. But even worse than peeing yourself, is coughing and/or sneezing AFTER you give birth. Well, maybe just if you get an episiotomy. It pulls the stitches and hurts SOOO bad. Hope allergy season ends soon for you!
I had really bad allergies a week before Margaret was born. I was really afraid that I would have a stuffy nose while in labor and not be able to breathe easily. Luckily they went away by the time I went into labor. That would have been awful.
And laughing. Laughing makes me pee my pants...well, so does bending over, walking...you get my drift. I forgot about this part of pregnancy. Well, it isn't too much longer for either one of us.
I tagged you for a question game today...if you want to play.
Heather......you are amazing! I did not know that you are training to be a DOULA! I have actually considered being a DOULA. I think it would be pretty incredible! The more I learn about you....the more fantastic you become! Can't wait to get to know you better! I hope all is well with you and your darling family! xoxoAmy
