Heathons Resurrected!

So after almost a year of inactivity, I, along with my very talented side-kick husband, are going to resurrect our blog. We now have a consistent source of internet service, which makes updating this thing much easier!

I realize that a WHOLE lot has happened since we got back from Jordan almost a year ago, including....
We Graduated!!! Finally. We both are offical BYU Alum (that is what our t-shirts say) as of April 26, 2007.

Jon got a BA (which is why his tassel is white) in Classical Studies-Latin Emphasis and I got a BS ( which is why my tassel is yellow) in Community Health with a minor in Women's Studies. Dick Cheney, the Vice President, spoke at Commencement. There was a big protest on campus ( I know imagine ...at BYU) about him coming but all in all his comments weren't anything too earth shaking. The only bad part was having to get there so early for security checks, but at least they gave a us treats:)
So After graduation.... Jon got a job with an engineering company called WesTec in SLC that makes water treatment equipment. He is working with the research and development department and really loves it. He especially likes telling people that he graduated in Latin and is now planning on doing a graduate degree in Environmental Engineering. He is a strange duck :)

Jon's new job is in SLC so we decided to move, kind of last min., to SLC. We got SO lucky and found a wonderful little duplex. It has two bedrooms, a garbage disposal, a dishwasher and Jon's favorite part-- a big unfinished basement. He has already set up his "shop" down there . And I planted a garden-- a little garden-- but still I have to start somewhere.

Oh, and then the most exciting thing to happen since last year is that we are expecting...

BUSTER FARRELL
(don't worry that isn't the real name-- just the womb name:)

in December 2007.

Right now we imagine it looks something like this.

Amazing! I am just about 14 weeks, so we still have a month or so till we find out if it is a boy or a girl.
Anyway, Life has been really good to us and we are very happy. I'm sorry that I haven't kept this blog better updated but I plan on changing that very soon.

"Buster" is a great pre-natal name...in fact, it wouldn't be too bad in a post-natal context, either; just keep your options open.

Great garden, too, by the way.
